2 teeth later…

Two extractions and 10 days later, I got my first pair of invisalign aligners.
Yes i had two premolars yanked out.
Actually it wasn’t bad. The anesthetic really works and you’re just left with a big hole in your smile. Or two in my case.

At the suggestion of my dentist, invisalign have produced an alternative treatment simulation. This time we’re considering the possibility of removing one premolar on each side of the lower jaw.

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009I know you, dear reader, will have incredible difficulty in understanding this; but I have a small physical imperfection. Hard to believe isn’t it? I actually have a significant under-bite (my lower jaw, teeth and chin protrude forward causing my lower teeth to close in front of the upper ones, rather than behind) and all my teeth are quite crowded and crooked.

I never really visited the dentist for the last… Well… 20 years or so. Just recently, though, I’ve started getting wisdom teeth through which are pressing against my molars at the back making all my teeth feel crowded and uncomfortable. So, to a dentist I set sail!
